The Taraccasa complex has established itself as the main green sanctuary and scenic lookout in Abancay. Its architecture features wooden walkways, shaded lookout decks, picnic areas, and botanical gardens highlighting native Andean flora such as queñua trees, intimpas, and vibrant wildflowers.

How to Get to Taraccasa Viewpoint from Abancay & Cusco
From downtown Abancay, a taxi drive takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes uphill along the highway toward Cusco (about 6 km / 3.7 miles along the Interoceanic Highway). Chasky Tours provides direct door-to-door private transfers with hotel pickup.
